Restricting Access to Admin API Using the Firewall

With Sentinel Run-time Environment 8.54 and later, you can restrict access to Sentinel Admin API access and to Sentinel Admin Control Center utilizing firewall restrictions.

To restrict access using the firewall:

1.In the hasplm.ini file, add the following line:

port_admin=<port_number>

where <port_number> is any port other than 1947 or 80.

The following functionality will use the port that you specify above:

•Admin API communication with the License Manager

•Access to Admin Control Center

2.Add IP restrictions on the proxy of the License Manager so that only authorized networks can access Sentinel Admin Control Center or Sentinel Admin API.
