Adding Files to a Project
You can add one or more data files to a Data Protection project for encryption.
To add a file to a project:
1.Right-click in the Main pane, and select the Add Files option. Alternatively, you can drag and drop a file in the Main pane. The Add Files dialog box is displayed.
2.Click the Add button and browse to the files that you want to add, then click Open. The files are added to the File list field.
(Use the Remove button to remove one or more files from the File list.)
3.For Version 2 Data Protection mode: In the Feature ID field, specify the Feature ID for licensing the selected data files.
NOTE All the data files that you select together in this action must be assigned the same Feature ID. If you want the option of changing the Feature ID for individual files afterward, do not select multiple files in a single process. Instead, repeat the selection process separately for each file.
4.In the Output Directory field, specify the directory in which the encrypted data files are to be located.
NOTE The read-only File extensions field lists the types of files in the directory that will be encrypted.
5.Click OK to add the directory. The dialog box closes and a new entry is displayed in the Main pane.
NOTE The Status field displays information relating to the status, or the next step of the process.
