Recycling Keys

You can recycle your Sentinel HL keys by reformatting the specified keys. You can then reuse the keys as needed.

Recycling does not return network seats on the recycled keys to the HL Pool of Seats on your Master key. For more details, see the section on Network Seats in the Sentinel LDK Software Protection and Licensing Guide.

You recycle keys using the Recycle Keys dialog box (Entitlements > Recycle), which contains the following options:

Option	Description
Recycle	Deletes all license data on the selected keys as well as uncompleted order data in Sentinel LDK. This completely removes the links between the specified keys and customers.
Blink	Causes the LED of the selected keys to blink for 5 seconds.
Refresh	Refreshes the list of keys displayed in the dialog box.

To recycle selected Sentinel protection keys:

1.Select Entitlements > Recycle. The Recycle Keys dialog box opens.

NOTE   You may be prompted to download and copy some files to a specified location. If you do not have appropriate permissions to copy the files to this location, your system administrator can help you to copy the files.

2. From the Sentinel Key ID list, select the keys to be recycled.

3. Click Recycle. All license and uncompleted order data is deleted, completely removing the link between the key and the customer.
