Upgrading Sentinel LDK Run-Time Environment (RTE) Installer

You use the Sentinel LDK RTE installer to simplify the installation process at your customer's (end user) site. You can embed the RTE executable or DLL in your Sentinel EMS setup to create a ready-to-run, protected and licensed application. Therefore, it is essential to upgrade your RTE installer when an update becomes available.

You can upgrade the Sentinel LDK RTE installer for the following operating systems:

NOTE   Before upgrading the RTE installer, close all running applications to ensure that the run-time environment is not being used by a running service.

To update the run-time installer script for Linux:

1.Download and unzip the Sentinel HASP LDK Linux Run-time Installer Script package.

2.Copy the aksusbd-x.x.x.tar file.

3.Navigate to: %SystemDrive%\Program Files (x86)\Gemalto Sentinel\Sentinel EMS\EMSServer\webapps\ems\haspTools

4.Replace the existing aaksusbd-x.x.x.tar file with the file you copied in step 2.

NOTE    Linux runtime offers native 64-bit support only with Run-Time 7.80 (and later) generated with Sentinel EMS 7.8 (and later) after introducing the Master key using the Master Wizard. Therefore, for Sentinel EMS versions prior to 7.8, make sure to ask your customers to deploy and install the 32-bit support compatibility package together with this Run-Time installer.
