What Are Provisioning Associations?

Provisioning associations refer to the methods and plans that are associated with a provisioning-enabled product.

Prerequisites for Managing Provisioning Associations

A role that includes Catalog (Namespace) permissions for the relevant namespace. At minimum, the vendor user needs the Edit permission. For details, see Roles.

Managing Provisioning Associations

The Provisioning Association page lists the provisioning-enabled products along with their associated plans, methods, and last association date and time. You can add or update the product methods, plans, and associations on this page. When you edit a method, plan, or association for a product, all the requests processed post-update use the updated method and plan attributes.

To manage associated methods and plans:

1.From the navigation pane, select Provisioning > Associations.

2.Select the product that you want to edit and, in the Actions column, click Manage Provisioning.

3.In the Method box, do one of the following:

•Add a new method. For details, see Method Attributes.

•Start typing and select an existing method to associate.

NOTE

For the Email method:

>Email addresses specified at the provisioning method level are carried over to the provisioning association level. You can modify the list at the association level by adding or removing addresses. Changes made in the original email list at the association level are not reflected at the method level.

>You must set the To email value during provisioning association, if not already specified.

4.In the Plan box, do one of the following:

•Add a new plan. For details, see Plan Attributes.

•Start typing and select an existing plan to associate.

5.Click Save.

Actions for Provisioning Associations

The following table lists the actions available for provisioning requests.
