Services Enforcement - License Models
Non-software products, which do not require product-level enforcement or license keys, are often sold alongside traditional products. Examples of non-software products include maintenance, support, training, professional services, and hardware products.
Software vendors need a single system of record to track these products, alongside products in software entitlements. To enable this, Sentinel EMS provides the following Services enforcement license models, which can be used alongside other traditional license models.
Sentinel EMS can be provisioned with the Services enforcement on its own or together with any of the other enforcements, such as Sentinel RMS, Sentinel LDK, Sentinel Fit, and third-party enforcements.
If Sentinel EMS is provisioned with both the Services enforcement and the Sentinel RMS enforcement, you can create and activate mixed entitlements that contain one or more products with features that use the Services enforcement license models, and one or more products with features that use a traditional license model. When you activate products whose features use a Services enforcement license model, no license key is generated.
