What is a Transaction?

In Sentinel EMS, a transaction is the detail of an entity logged into the audit log every time an operation such as create, update, deploy, complete, etc. is performed on an entity. Sentinel EMS logs the transaction details for the following entities: entitlement, activation, product, customer, contact, user, channel partner, and channel partner user.

Transaction Search Attributes

Sentinel EMS provides the Transactions page that enables you to view the transaction data of several entities. You can view both the old and new values when viewing a single transaction. You can search transaction records using the following fields in the Transactions page:

Search Parameter Description

Specify the entity type as entitlement, activation, product, customer, contact, channel partner, user and channel partner user. You can also leave it blank to search all.

Entity Identifier Specify the entity identifier. For example, you can specify EID of an entitlement or AID of an activation as the entity identifier. The system searches and retrieves similar matching records by matching the search string to appear anywhere in the field.
Transaction Date From Specify the start date of the range to display transaction details. The date format is MM/DD/YYYY.
Transaction Date To Specify the end date of the range to display transaction details. The date format is MM/DD/YYYY.
