Task 3: Uploading Usage Data

The usage data pasted at the proxy machine is automatically uploaded to the Sentinel cloud server (SCC—Sentinel Cloud Connect) by the SCP service. By default, the SCP service processes and uploads usage data in every 5 minutes.

However, if you do not want to wait up to the next interval and want to trigger an upload instantly, then you can use the SCP service's –fr command-line option to do the same. This command initiates forced refresh of the SCP service and syncs usage data.

When a usage file is successfully uploaded, it creates a corresponding acknowledgment file (with .ack extension) in the UsageAck directory (also created at the same level where the usage directory exists).

Successfully uploaded usage data (.udb) files are automatically deleted.
