What is Standalone Licensing?

In case of standalone licensing, the Sentinel RMS License Manager is not required. The licensed application looks for the default license file (lservrc) in its local directory or at the location specified by the LSERVRC environment variable.

A licensed application will not run without a valid license code. However, it may be delivered and installed without a license code.

If the application is using a locked license, then you must provide the locking code of the system to the software vendor. Using this, the software vendor will generate a license code. Contact your software vendor if the license code is not included with the product. Your software vendor will provide further instructions on how to proceed.

NOTE   If your previous license code has expired then you need to get a new or upgrade license.
