Data Synchronization
Business systems, such as Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, and Zuora connect with Sentinel EMS to pull and push data in bi-directional manner. Sentinel Connect captures entitlement and product details and their consumption data.
Sentinel Connect syncs back the captured data from Sentinel EMS back to your business tools. This data includes subscription and consumption details. For example, you obtain information on what a customer is entitled to use, what’s the duration of use, how much the customer is allowed to use, and how the products are actually used.
Need of Data Synchronization
Your product managers and sales engineers can use the retrieved information to track product usage and gain insights into customer usage behavior. The consumption information acts as a business intelligence database that you can leverage to develop future product roadmaps, plan sales strategies, identify operational budget, boost revenues, and much more.
What Data is Synched?
Sentinel Connect exchanges entitlement (or subscription) and consumption data.
The following is the subscription data that Sentinel Connect retrieves from Sentinel EMS and provides back to your business tools:
>Start date and end date
>License expiration date
>Quantity the customer is entitled to
>Customer, contact, channel partner information
>Custom attributes used for licensing
The following is the consumption data that Sentinel Connect helps you to pull:
>When is the product activation done
>Quantity activated by the customer and the remaining quantity
>Machine information on which products are used
>Which entitlements are active and which are not
How is Data Synched?
The data is synched at regular or scheduled intervals using the following Sentinel Connect API endpoint:
GET /entitlement
