Adding a Program to a Project

In order to protect a program, you must add it to a Sentinel LDK Envelope project. The procedure described below applies to Windows applications, .NET assemblies, and Java executables.

To add a program:

1.Click the Programs icon in the Project pane. The Programs screen is displayed.

2.Click Add Programs in the Programs screen. The Add Programs dialog is displayed.

3.In the Add Programs dialog, navigate to the location of your target program. You can select multiple programs to add to the project.

Envelope supports protection of the following file types:

Windows and .NET Executables (*.exe)

Windows and .NET Dynamic Link Libraries (*.dll)

Python DLLs (*.pyd)

AutoCAD Plugins (*.arx) (supported by Windows V3 Engine)

Java Archives, Web Application Archites, Enterprise Archives (*.jar, *.war, *.ear)

4.Select the program to protect, then click Open. The Add Programs dialog closes and program entries are displayed in the Programs screen and the Project pane.

5.Repeat steps 2-4 for all the programs or applications you wish to include in the project.

NOTE   You can drag and drop one or more files that you want to protect into the Programs screen or the Project pane.

When you attempt to add a .NET assembly to the project, the operation may fail with the following error messages: Required assembly [assemblyProperties] not found

If this occurs, go to the .NET Directories tab in the Settings dialog box (File > Settings). Add a search path that contains the indicated assembly, and then try to add the .NET assembly to the project again.

Sentinel LDK Envelope automatically determines the type of program you have added to the project. Win32 and Windows x64 programs, .NET assemblies, and Java executables are identified by specific icons in the Project pane.

You can apply program options to each of the programs that you have added to a project.
