Scheduling Recipes

This section describes how to schedule recipes. You must schedule to run after the data syncs to ensure that the latest data is included in the datasets.

Scheduling a Recipe to Run Automatically

1.Click App Launcher and search for Data Manager.

2.Click the Recipes tab.

The following recipes must be available under the Recipes tab for the Sentinel Pulse app:

Sentinel Pulse Activation Trend generator

Sentinel Pulse dataset aggregator

Sentinel Pulse Account Customer Mapping object sync

Scheduling Sentinel Pulse Activation Trend Generator

1.Click the drop-down to the right of Sentinel Pulse Activation Trend generator.

2.Select Schedule.

3.Select the Event-based schedule mode.

4.Set Run Schedule After to The Salesforce local connection syncs.

5.Click Save.

Scheduling Sentinel Pulse Dataset Aggregator

1.Click the drop-down to the right of Sentinel Pulse dataset aggregator.

2.Select Schedule.

3.Select the Event-based schedule mode.

4.Set Run Schedule After to The selected CSVs are updated or dataflows/recipes run..

5.Select Sentinel Pulse Activation Trend generator

6.Click Save.

NOTE   When you deactivate a user who scheduled a recipe, the schedule is deleted and the dataflow is unscheduled.

Scheduling Sentinel Pulse Account Customer Mapping Object Sync

1.Click the drop-down to the right of Sentinel Pulse Activation Trend generator.

2.Select Schedule.

3.Select the Time-based schedule mode.

4.Define the following values to schedule data sync:

Schedule by:Week

Start at: 3:00 AM

TIP   This recipe is scheduled to run 2 hours after the execution of the Input BigQuery Connection, which is set to run daily at 1:00 AM.

Run on: Select all the days of the week

5.Click Save.

NOTE   If you are using versionless products in Sentinel EMS, then schedule Sentinel Pulse Variant Data Generator using the following steps to ensure the latest data is used after the product variant data syncs.

Scheduling Sentinel Pulse Variant Data Generator

1.Click the drop-down to the right of Sentinel Pulse Variant generator.

2.Select Schedule.

3.Select the Event-based schedule mode.

4.Set Run Schedule After to The Salesforce local connection syncs.

Verifying Recipes Run as Scheduled

1.Run the following:

Sentinel Pulse Input: The BigQuery connection.

SFDC_LOCAL: The Salesforce local connection sync operation.

TIP   When the data sync is run for these connections, the recipes run automatically.

2.To view jobs' status, click Jobs Monitor.

NOTE   Sentinel Pulse Account Customer Mapping object sync is a time-based recipe so you need to wait until its next scheduled run.
