License Manager's Implicit and Explicit Entries in the Usage Log File

The License Manager can record all license requests and releases in the usage log file. These license request and release entries could be a result of:

>Application invoked API calls that request/release license, are referred to as explicit entries or records.

>License Manager invoked license request/release calls, are referred to as implicit entries or records.

NOTE   Since v8.5.3 (Windows) and v8.5.5 (Linux and Solaris), the License Manager implicit entries also include the log comments, if any inserted by your software vendor in the API calls. The comment in a record would belong to the last API called, having the log comment. The comment may be in anonymized or in unanonymized state, depending on the settings your software vendor and system administrator have chosen.
