Generating Licenses to Run Samples

To run the samples meant for on-premises deployment mode, licenses need to be generated using any of the following license generation options. This process requires specifying various license properties including the feature (name) and version:

>WlscGen Utility - A Windows GUI-based utility that generates a license code. Refer to the Sentinel RMS SDK Developer Guide for information about getting started with WlscGen.

>lscgen Utility - A command line-based utility, available on Windows and Linux, which generates a license code. The Sentinel RMS SDK Developer Guide also contains information about getting started with lscgen.

>Sentinel Entitlement Management System (Sentinel EMS) - You can also generate and manage licenses and entitlements using Sentinel EMS. This link provides access to its complete documentation.

>License Generation API - The License Code Generation Application Programming Interface (API) makes it possible to generate license codes to authorize use of a Sentinel RMS licensed application. Using the Sentinel RMS license generation API, you can write your own utility program to generate license codes.
