What is a Sentinel Key?

In Sentinel LDK Cloud Portal, a Sentinel key refers to a cloud-licensing key, also known as a CL key. CL keys are cloud-enabled Sentinel SL (Software Licensing) keys.

To access a product license, the Sentinel key must be accessible to the machine on which a protected application runs.

Sentinel LDK Cloud Portal displays all of the CL keys that exist in Sentinel LDK-EMS. CL keys are added to the Sentinel Keys page in Sentinel LDK Cloud Portal when the vendor performs a "Produce and Push", which generates a license on a CL key and pushes that CL key to the cloud license server. Only CL keys are displayed on Sentinel LDK Cloud Portal.

The Sentinel Keys Page

The Sentinel Keys page lists all CL keys and the customers with which they are associated. On this page, you can:

>View, sort, and filter the list of Sentinel keys

>View the customer that is associated with each key

> View the products that are embedded in each key

To open the Sentinel Keys page:

In the navigation pane, click Sentinel Keys.

Grid Columns

The following details are displayed for each Sentinel key:

Attribute	Description
Status	The status of the Sentinel key.
	Enabled	The Sentinel key is available for use.
	Disabled	Indicates that tampering was detected. Sentinel LDK Envelope run-time module disabled the key because it determined that the user attempted to tamper with the key or with the protected application.
Key ID	The unique, auto-generated, CL key identifier.
Customer	The name of the customer defined in the Sentinel LDK-EMS entitlement for which this Sentinel key was generated.
Creation Date	The date and time that the product was activated for the first time.

Associated Products

When you expand the record for a Sentinel key, you can view the list of products that are embedded in that key.

Attribute	Description
Product Name	The name of product included in the Sentinel LDK-EMS entitlement.
Product ID	The numeric identifier for the product included in the Sentinel LDK-EMS entitlement.

Search Parameters for Sentinel Keys

You can use the search bar to filter the list and show only those Sentinel keys that meet the relevant search parameter. The following search parameters are available:

>Creation Date From

>Creation Date To

>Customer

>Key ID

>Product ID

>Product Name

>Status
