Advanced Protection Details

The Advanced tab is provided for experienced users who wish to address specific protection issues that are not included in the Default Protection Settings or Protection Details screens. The tab includes a list of advanced protection parameters.

The following fields are displayed in the Advanced tab:

Property

Lists the available protection settings. The protection settings differ, according to the engine to which a program relates (for example, Win32 or .Net).

Value

Displays the current value of the selected protection parameter. Some parameters have single check boxes, while others contain multiple check boxes. All the displayed values can be modified.

Click Defaults to undo any changes you have made.

When you select the Enable Custom Protection Key Login Scope check box:

>Envelope displays a field that you can use to specify XML parameters for a custom login scope.

>The protected program will only search for a Sentinel protection key according to the custom login scope that you specify.

For information on the syntax for login scope parameters, see the topic "Scope Input XML Tags" in Sentinel Licensing API Reference. You can also paste a login scope that was created using Sentinel LDK ToolBox in this field.

A yellow icon is displayed next to the Advanced tab title in the Protection Details screen to indicate that the Advanced Parameters were modified.
