.NET Protection Details for Windows Shell
Use the Window Shell Settings tab in the Protection Details screen to define protection details for the Windows shell for .NET assemblies.
This screen is only available if the Protection type for .NET assemblies includes Windows shell.
This screen enables you to specify the following information:
Select this check box to insert the Data File Protection module into the protected application. This option is only available for executables and not DLLs. After you select the check box, you can: >Select the data protection mode - Version 1 or Version 2 >For Version 1: In the displayed table, define encryption filters for data files utilized by the protected version of the program. For more information, see Defining Data File Filters. >(Optional) Click Encrypt Data to launch the Data Protection utility. NOTE Within a given Envelope project, you cannot include both applications that use Version 1 data protection mode and applications that use Version 2 data protection mode. |

Overwrite default encryption for data files |
For Version 1 data protection mode: Select this check box if you want to overwrite the default encryption key used to encrypt/decrypt data files. (The default encryption key is specified in the Windows Default Protection Settings screen.) See the description of the Encryption key for data files field in that screen. This check box is only displayed if Enable data file protection is selected. |
