Defining a Cancellation Product
A Cancellation Product cancels the license terms of another Product. You may want to use a Cancellation Product to:
>Revoke a deployed license.
>Cancel the license for a Product that has been returned before its license terms have expired.
When you define a Cancellation Product, you can cancel the license terms for each Feature in the selected Product. Changes made to the memory data overwrite the original data.
If a Cancellation Product has not yet been included in an Entitlement, you can edit its properties.
To define a Cancellation Product:
1.Open the Create Cancellation Product page
2.In the Name box, enter a name for the product (must be unique in the batch, maximum 50 characters). The name is case-insensitive, so Trial, TRIAL, and trial are considered identical.
3.(Optional) Click the Add Description link and add a description to the Product (maximum 510 characters).
4.(Optional) Enter Ref ID 1 and Ref ID 2 (maximum 250 characters). You can enter information that identifies the Product in a different system, for example, a Product code in your company's ERP system.
5.The Features from the Base Product are displayed in the Product Features pane.
You can perform the following actions in this pane:
NOTE For individual features, you can use the links provided in the same row. To perform an action for multiple features at one time, select the check boxes for the features and use the buttons provided at the top-right of the pane.
•Add Features: Add additional Features to the Product.
•Remove: Remove newly added Features.
NOTE If you remove a pre-existing feature, it will still remain as it is in the product.
•Modify: Change the license terms for existing Features. For example, you can increase or decrease the execution counts and concurrent instances. (Not available for newly added Features.) For details, see Defining License Terms for a Sentinel LDK Product.
NOTE If the license type for an existing feature is Specify at entitlement time, use Overwrite instead of Modify to change the license terms.
•Overwrite: Define fresh license terms for existing or new Features. For details, see Defining License Terms for a Sentinel LDK Product.
•Cancel: Remove these Features from the Product.
•Leave: Leave the Feature as is in the Product.
