What Are Authorization (Auth) Tokens?

Auth tokens are authorization tokens generated using registration tokens to support token-based authorization for consuming licenses deployed over Sentinel RMS Cloud License Manager. The licensed application needs to create the auth token and refresh it periodically using the Sentinel EMS REST API endpoints.

For information on generating auth tokens, contact your customer support team.

NOTE

>When the external IDP is enabled, a Sentinel EMS SSO user account cannot access the Sentinel EMS REST API (for example, the auth token endpoints). Use a separate user account that is not enabled for SSO to use the Sentinel EMS REST API.

> While generating an auth token, if the operation fails with the error, 'An internal error occurred. Contact the system administrator for assistance.' (HTTP 500), then it is recommended to retry the operation. If you continue to see this error, contact the system administrator for assistance.

The administrator contact can view the list of auth tokens and use them to manage the users (username and hostname) accessing the licensed application.
