Adding a Program File to a Project
To protect a program file, you must add it to a Sentinel Envelope project.
To add a program file to a project:
1.From the menu bar, select File > Add Program. The Open dialog is displayed.
2.In the Open dialog, navigate to the location of your target program file. You can select multiple program files to add to the project.
Envelope supports protection of the following file types:
•Windows and .NET Executables (*.exe)
•Windows and .NET Dynamic Link Libraries (*.dll)
3.Select the program files to protect, then click Open. The Open dialog closes and program files are displayed in the Programs screen and the navigation pane.
4.Repeat for all the program files you wish to include in the project.
NOTE You can use drag-and-drop to add one or more files that you want to protect into the Programs screen or the navigation pane.
When you attempt to add a .NET assembly to the project, the operation may fail with the following error messages: Required assembly [assemblyProperties] not found
If this occurs, go to the Protection Settings tab in the Edit Protection Details pane. Add a search path that contains the indicated assembly to the Assembly Search Paths list, and then try to add the .NET assembly to the project again.
You can apply protection settings to each of the program files that you have added to a project.
