Changing the ACC Administrator Password
When you define a password using the Change Password tabbed page, information in Admin Control Center can only be modified by a user who knows the password and who is authorized to access Admin Control Center (the ACC administrator).
Follow the procedures below to use this page to set, change, remove, or reset the password for the ACC administrator.

To access the Change Password page:
1.From the navigation pane, go to the Configuration page > Basic Settings tab.
2.Click Set Password from the Password Protection field.
To set or change the password for the ACC administrator:
1.If you are changing an existing password, enter the current password in Current Admin Password. Otherwise, leave this field empty.
2.Enter the new password in the New Admin Password field and in the Re-enter new Admin Password field.
3.Click Submit. The new password is set. At this point, you must log in to Admin Control Center using the new password. A Log In screen is displayed.
4.Enter the user name. (By default, the user name is admin. You have the option of changing the user name. For details, see Setting a User Name for the ACC Administrator.)
5.Enter the new password.
6.Click Log in. You are now logged in to Admin Control Center.
To remove the password for Admin Control Center:
1.Enter the current password in the Current Admin Password field.
2.Click Submit. A message is displayed to warn you that you are specifying an empty password.
3.Click Submit empty password. The password is erased. Users no longer require a password to change information in Admin Control Center.
NOTE Use the following procedure if you have forgotten or do not know the password for Admin Control Center.
To reset the password for Admin Control Center:
1.Open the hasplm.ini file in a text editor.
2.Remove the adminpassword entry from the file. Save and close the file.
3.In the Services window, restart the Sentinel License Manager service.
4.Set a new password for Admin Control Center as described earlier in this topic.
