Basic Configuration Settings
The following criteria can be viewed and configured:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Machine Name | The name of the machine for which the basic settings are being configured |
Allow Remote Access to ACC |
Whether other network users are allowed to access and perform actions for Admin License Manager in Admin Control Center on this machine. Default: Access is disabled. NOTE Thales recommends that you keep this option disabled for maximum security, especially if the server is accessible in the cloud. If you choose to allow access using HTTPS, configure the HTTPS certificates on the Network tabbed page. When HTTP is selected, HTTPS is also accessible if certificates files have been configured on the Network tabbed page. NOTE > To change HTTPS/HTTP mode you must first set a password to protect Admin Control Center against unauthorized modifications. (See the Password Protection parameter below.) >When you allow remote access (using either HTTP or HTTPS), you must also set Network Visibility (on the Network tabbed page) to All Network Adapters. |
Allow Remote Access to Admin API |
Whether other network users are allowed to access and perform actions for Admin License Manager in Sentinel Admin API on this machine. Default: Access is disabled. If you choose to allow access using HTTPS, configure the HTTPS certificates on the Network tabbed page or using the ContextNewScope function in Admin API. When HTTP is selected, HTTPS is also accessible if certificates files have been configured. |
Password Protection |
Admin Control Center can be password-protected against unauthorized access. Password protection is enabled or disabled by setting or removing a password for Admin Control Center. Click Set Password to open a dialog box that enables you to enter, change, or remove the password. If password protection is enabled, specify whether only the Admin Control Center configuration pages are password-protected against access, or whether all Admin Control Center pages are password-protected. For more information, see Managing User Access to Admin License Manager Information. |
Display Refresh Time | The time (in seconds) after which the display will be refreshed, providing the most current data. |
Table Rows per Page | The number of rows (5–100) that will be displayed on each page in the table. |
Idle Timeout of Session |
The number of minutes that a License Manager session remains logged in to a protection key when the session is idle. When the amount of time specified elapses with no activity, the session is closed and the license becomes available. |
Write an Access Log File |
When selected, an access log file will be generated. When the log file reaches the size specified (0 - 9999 KB) in Size Limit, the file is closed and a new log file is started. If Size Limit is set to 0, the log file is never closed. Log files are stored under: >%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\log (if Write Log Files Daily is selected) >%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP\ (if Write Log Files Daily is clear) Select the following additional check boxes according to your requirements: >Include Local Requests: Logs requests made to a Sentinel License Manager regarding a Feature on a Sentinel protection key by Sentinel LDK clients on the local machine >Include Remote Requests: Logs requests made to a Sentinel License Manager regarding a Feature on a Sentinel protection key connected to a local machine by Sentinel LDK clients on a remote machine >Include Administration Requests: Logs requests made to Sentinel License Manager by Admin Control Center Click Edit Log Parameters to display and edit the data that is displayed in the log file. |
Write an Error Log File |
When selected, an error log file will be generated. When the log file reaches the size specified (0 - 9999 KB) in Size Limit, the file is closed and a new log file is started. If Size Limit is set to 0, the log file is never closed. |
Write Log Files Daily |
When selected, separate log files are created for each day that log entries are generated. |
Days Before Compressing Log Files |
Log files that were closed are compressed using standard ZIP algorithm if they are older than the specified number of days (0 - 9999). The extension ".zip" is appended to the original file name. If the number of days is set to 0, no compression will be done. |
Days Before Deleting Log Files |
Number of days that a closed log file (whether or not it is compressed) is retained before it is deleted automatically. If the number of days is set to 0, log files are never deleted automatically. |
Days Before Deleting Old Files |
Number of days that H2R, V2C, and XML files (for attached and detached licenses) are retained.
|
Write a Process ID (.pid) File |
When selected, enables a PID file to be generated. |
Generate C2V file for HASP key |
If selected, the C2V action (to generate a C2V file) is available on the Sentinel Keys page for Sentinel HASP keys and for Sentinel HL (HASP configuration) keys. NOTE Enable this option only if recommended by your software vendor. |
Do Not Load hasplmv.exe |
(Applicable for Windows only) To display or update SL UserMode keys in Admin Control Center: >hasplmv.exe must be loaded. (The Do Not Load hasplmv.exe check box must be unselected.) >The customized Vendor library for the relevant Batch Code must be present on the machine, under: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Aladdin Shared\HASP. This is typically handled by the software vendor. When selected, hasplmv.exe is not loaded by the License Manager service. Unselected by default. |
