Network Settings
The following settings can be specified:
Option | Description |
---|---|
Network Visibility |
Define whether Admin Control Center and the License Manager service are visible to other machines on the network. Select one of the following options: >All Network Adapters: Admin Control Center and the License Manager service are visible to other machines on the network. Protected applications that are executed on other machines in the network can access licenses on protection keys that are attached to the local machine. >None (Local Access Only): Admin Control Center and the License Manager service are registered for listening on local sockets only. As a result, they can be reached from the local machine only, and they are completely invisible to other machines on the network. Protected applications that are executed on other machines in the network cannot access licenses on protection keys that are attached to the local machine. This option provides additional security for a machine to which only standalone protection keys are attached. |
HTTPS Support |
Full path of the public certificate file and the private certificate file for communication between remote network users and the local Admin License Manager. These certificates are required if you chose to enable this type of communication and want to use the HTTPS protocol for this purpose (see Allow Remote Access to ACC on the Configuring Basic Settings tabbed page). Note: If Allow Remote Access to ACC is set to HTTPS, specifying an incorrect certificate file path will cause a lost HTTPS connection. An end user can correct these settings using local HTTP or using a remote desktop session. |
Proxy Settings |
If proxy communication is required, the end user should manually set proxy attributes for communication with license server machines. |
EMS URL |
Enter the URL of each Sentinel EMS or Sentinel LDK-EMS machine that is allowed to contact the Admin License Manager on the current machine. This URL is only required on machines from which the user will access the Sentinel EMS or Sentinel LDK-EMS Vendor Portal or Customer Portal. The default values are: http://localhost:8080 However, if Sentinel EMS or Sentinel LDK-EMS is located on a remote machine or if it uses a different port number, the URL must be changed accordingly. |
